Understanding Chemistry in ContextMost of us do not understand what chemistry is. This is mostly because the science in context is not as well understood as the concept of the word. However, it has an impact on almost all aspects of our lives. For example, it is the basic component of gasoline.What is a simple story that highlights the way the element works? At times, when there is an excess of oxygen in the atmosphere, the air can get very hot and this causes a negative pressure on the Earth's surface. The water droplets then fall from the air to the earth's surface, which creates a pool of water called a lake.Now, the science of chemistry deals with the physical properties of the elements. While the physical properties help us to understand how these elements react with one another, it is the chemical reactions that determine their use in other processes. And in the process of chemical reactions, there are both natural and artificial methods to carry out chemical reactions.Natural reactions are based on scientific principles and the basis of chemistry is the natural way of combining the elements. These are known as solvents and also known as liquids. Examples of substances that react by using a solvent is oil and water. A substance that is used to dissolve organic molecules into liquid form is known as organic solvents.A chemical reaction can be either an oxidation or a reduction. Oxidation is when a molecule gets oxidized and is no longer capable of doing its function. Reduction is when a molecule is oxidized but is still able to do its function.In order to understand why chemical reactions occur in nature, it is important to know what makes up an atom. While the element that is on Earth contains hydrogen and helium, the atoms of the planet have many more electrons.The electrons are responsible for providing energy for the molecular bonds. When the electrons move, the bonds get disrupted and that leads to an area where electrons are free to move from one pla ce to another. The process is known as excitation and can be produced by an external force or by a chemical reaction.There are several different types of chemical reactions that take place in nature. Theses can be divided into organic and inorganic reactions. Organic reactions are those that can be produced by living things, inorganic ones are those that can only be produced by inorganic compounds and naturally occurring elements.
